Adding a video Cover on a GIGAMEDIA Camera

Example :

According the country you live, you can’t recorder public arear from your camera.

So you have to create privacy mask (or vidéo cover) in your system.

Here, we are going to create privacy zone if you want to partially cover some certain part of the image

Via WEB interface of your GIGAMEDIA Recorder

After connecting to the WEB interface of the recorder using the IP address in your browser (Chrome or Edge)

Go to Remote Settings then Channel and then Video Cover:

  • Enable Privacy Zone
  • Click on Add
  • Zone appear as « Red box”, Drag it to any size to create a privacy Zone
  • Apply

Une image contenant texte, capture d’écran, Logiciel multimédia, logiciel

Description générée automatiquement

On LIVEVIEW, masking zone will appear.

Une image contenant véhicule, Véhicule terrestre, roue, voiture

Description générée automatiquement

Remark :

The masking zone works with PTZ camera. So, if you configure a masking zone, the camera's scanning will adapt to the masked area. You will then have created a dynamic masking zone.

Via Graphical User Interface (GUI)

By connecting a monitor (or TV) with HDMI cable + USB mouse, you will be able to have access to the interface of your recorder

Main Menu -> Configuration

Channel then Video Cover

Enable the privacy Mask and choose how many zones you need.

Via GGM VIEW Application

Depending on the Firmware Version of your model

Main Menu then Remote Settings

Choose the recorder you want then Select Channel

then Privacy Mask

Create area you want :
