Setting up a UNIVIEW KB-1100 Joystick with a UNIVIEW Recorder or Camera

Prerequisites: The recorder must be connected via RJ45 on the same network as your UNIVIEW recorder.

By default, the joystick password is: 123456

 

1. Configure the IP address of the KB-1100 Joystick:

  • Accesses the Cfg > Net Cfg Local Menu  on the keyboard.

  • Make sure the IP address of the joystick is in the same IP address range as the NVR or PTZ camera.

Example : If the NVR is 192.168.1.100, set the joystick to 192.168.1.110.

 

2. Add the NVR or camera into the joystick

  • Go to Dev Manage > Manual Cfg > Add Dev.

  • Fill:
    • ID : Unique identifier (e.g. 001)
    • Name : Free (e.g. NVR-PTZ)
    • Device Type : NVR or Camera
    • Connection Type : Network
    • IP address : IP of the NVR or camera
    • Port : Default 60000 for Uniview
  • Press Enter, then ESC to save.

 

3. Access PTZ Control

  • Tap Find Dev > Dev ID, enter the NVR or camera ID.
  • Press Enter to access the control.

  • Select the PTZ camera channel with Num Cam + CAM.

  • Use the joystick to orient the camera.

 

Advanced PTZ features

 

  • Preset: Preset position
    • Position the camera, then press SET
    • Type in a number + PRESET to save
  • Patrol: Preset Chain
    • Type in the ID+ PATROL (must be configured in the NVR)
  • Road: Personalized trajectory
    • Type in the ID + ROUTE (must be configured in the NVR)
